Imagine if your wildest dreams all came true...

Jesscy Dean was born on a rutted country road, winding through the mountains between Paradise Valley and Bozeman, Montana. She was born into poverty, but her single mama always made certain her life was filled with soul food. Things like nature. Music. Laughter. Love. Friendship. And always....horses.

Her mom instilled the values of a true Montana girl into her life from the start. And Jess carries those values with her today, preferring to spend as much time as possible atop a horse in the wild places her home state has to offer. Many times in her youth watching her ride backback and barefooted, folks would joke all she needed was a hawk on a tether to be a like a fierce little Mongol girl. Later in life she found out she is half Chippewa-Cree of the Little Shell tribe, which made even more pieces of the feral puzzle make sense. 

Montana and Mongolia have many parallels. Both boasting commitment to nature and wildlife. Many mountains and lustrous waterways. Big country and true horseman. 

So when the opportunity to be a part of the Mongolian Derby came her way, she didn't ask questions. She just decided to make it happen. 

She decided to quite literally run with the honor of representing the people, businesses and hearts that represent her home state of Montana, across 632 miles of the Mongolian steppe, atop half broke horses August 6-16th, 2024.

I'm beyond honored to be able to take my fire for the wilds of Montana and carry them with me on my biggest adventure yet - The Mongolian Derby.
 
The Mongol Derby is a true test of grit and horsemanship galloping for 10 days atop wildly trained horses across 632 miles of the Steppe.
 
And I cannot do it without your support! The race, travel, gear and experience is NOT cheap.
 
Any amount large or small is welcomed with a full heart of gratitude, however there are some perks detailed below for donations of different sizes -
 
♡ Donations over $150 will receive a sweet little wild pouch bundle, made with love from the offerings of the Montana wilds.
 
♡ For any donation of $250 or more, I will send you a living wool hygge piece, made specially by me and the Navajo-churro sheep I shepherd.
 
♡ Any donation from $500-$632 will receive a $1 donation from an anonymous donor to the non-profit of your choice for each mile I ride. That means if I complete the entire race, your chosen charity will receive $632 dollars!
 
♡ Donations of $1000 or more will receive a full-sized living wool rug or wall hanging in the shade of wool of your choosing
 
♡ For your donation of $2500 you will be able to put whatever you'd like on my riding coat! This means I will carry your brand, poetry, logo or face if you'd like across the Mongolian Steppe. I would be SO very happy to be able to show support & love for the local businesses and friends I hold so dear.
